Untitled

To the anvil which falls

and the melting letter

I too, wanted your something

I've backed away from the phantoms

that coalesce with my ruin

yet still! the filth forms over me

and your suffocating disease

to drain my heart and make my leaking tears

bleed

Waiting on Love

By Andrew Vanderdonckt

a moment in love is locked with a valentine heart

pulled down from the clouds of light

shedding colours unknown to those with sight

like trying to explain the colour of blood to a blind man

who's never seen

so will it be when love enters me

and it waits so i will wait and wait and wait more

more and more until the day draws near

when i am enveloped by the clear waters of the

noontime sun

A Poem in Time

By Andrew Vanderdonckt

How long is an hour wasted?

Is it shorter than ten minutes tasted?

"Late!" sang the teacher.

Early-riser and money-eraser sighed.

Upon a life of agony, and a tempest torn.

Staying up late.

Until the sunrise at morn.

Winter Poem

By Andrew Vanderdonckt

Softly spoken words came from the creator of the universe

love is not a game

as my heart broke and ran with my fears

There is a universe inside of me somewhere south of

my mind

Return oh broken mind

Remember once again the grass underneath the

Manitoba snows

Do you care to answer forgotten prayers

Chunks of lifetime lost in the holes of thought

by chance love endeavors to blow three-quarter emptiness swaying

in the Autumn winds

as the grass waits for spring to grow again.
